John Mulaney talked about not wanting to have children before welcoming his first child Olivia Munn.
However, when Mulaney confirmed that Munn was pregnant in September 2021, he revealed how important becoming a father was to him.
“In the spring I went to Los Angeles and met and started dating an amazing woman named Olivia,” Mulaney said on Late Night with Seth Meyers at the time. ‘And we’re having a baby together. I was nervous as I was about to break the news! Olivia and this baby helped save me from myself during this early journey out of recovery [from my drug addiction].”
Mulaney, who got sober in 2020 after a relapse, welcomed son Malcolm Hiệp with Munn in November 2021. The couple quietly tied the knot in the summer of 2024 before revealing in September that their daughter, Méi June, was born via surrogate .
