Joe Goldberg returns to New York City

Netflix has released the trailer and the first look images for the fifth and final season of his psychological thriller series “You”.

The official synopsis for season 5 reads: “In the epic fifth and last season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his long yet … until his perfect life is threatened by the spirits of his past and his own dark desires.”

Penn Badgley returns as the charming but frightening obsessive Joe Goldberg. He is accompanied by Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp and Griffin Matthews.

In the spring of 2023 it was revealed that “you” would end with season 5. At that time it was also announced that executive producers Michael Foley and Justin Lo would take the Reigns as show runners, where Creator Sera Gamble remained on the series as an executive producer.

“You” originally premiered with Lifetime, but was canceled after just one season. Netflix then picked it up and the show soon became one of the most popular series of the streamer. Season 4 was divided into two parts. Part one was released in February 2023 and the second part fell in March 2023.

“You” was co -created by Greg Berlanti and Gamble. Foley and LO serve writers, show runners and executive producers with Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Badgley, Gamble, Leslie Morgenstein, Leigh London Redman, Gina Girolamo, Neil Reynolds and Marcos Siega. Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment Produce in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television.
