Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are taking a $52 million marital mansion off the market again amid a desperate scramble to sell a massive estate

Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck have once again taken their $52 million Beverly Hills mansion off the market — months after trying to land a buyer with an $8 million price cut.

Lopez, 56, and Affleck, 53, purchased the extraordinary property for $60.9 million in May 2023, less than a year after they got married, and quickly began renovating the estate, reportedly spending millions more to turn it into their dream wedding retreat.

However, just over a year later, the couple had put the property back on the market with an asking price of $68 million, and it was revealed shortly after that they had split.

Their divorce was finalized in January 2025, with the duo agreeing to split any profits from the sale of their former marital home. However, they faced a desperate scramble to find a buyer for the lavish home – and just two months after lowering their asking price to $59.9 million in May of that same year, they took the house off the market altogether.

In September, the exes — who tied the knot in July 2022 — tried their luck by reselling the lavish abode and putting it on the market for $52 million, hoping a big price cut would help secure a buyer.

But it seems they have once again decided to suspend their efforts, records show that the listing has been deactivated for the second time.

The house was wiped off the market on January 26, as first reported by TMZ.

Lopez and Affleck’s former marital home certainly has enough going for it to attract a wealthy buyer looking for the pinnacle of luxury; it features a wide range of custom amenities, including an indoor sports complex complete with basketball and pickleball courts, a fully equipped gym, a boxing ring, a sports lounge and a bar.

As for the more “traditional” features, the home boasts a whopping 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms spread across its massive 38,000 square feet of interior. The estate sits on a 5.2-acre parcel in the Beverly Crest community.

The listing describes the home as a serene place where “timeless elegance and modern convenience blend seamlessly in the heart of Beverly Hills.”

While these high-end features can make the property incredibly attractive to any wealthy buyer, there are several rather expensive considerations to take into account, including the sky-high monthly costs of maintaining the home, which Realtor.com® estimated at approximately $284,000 in September 2024, including the former couple’s mortgage payments.

The property is also subject to the Los Angeles mansion tax, which would cause them to lose even more money if sold.

“The house is located in the Post Office area of Beverly Hills, which is technically in the city of Los Angeles (not the independent city of Beverly Hills), so the mansion tax applies,” says a celebrity real estate agent Jason Oppenheim previously revealed to Realtor.com.

“Therefore, they will have to pay a mansion tax of more than $3 million. So they could lose another $5 million-plus after commissions, taxes, etc.”

Oppenheim also previously offered his suggestions on why the house has struggled to find a buyer, despite its impressive design and Hollywood pedigree.

In October 2024, he explained that it was always going to be difficult for the duo to reach a deal, largely because the pool of potential suitors is so small.

A property of such high value – with its separate 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, caretaker’s house, two-bedroom guardhouse, twelve-car garage and parking for eighty cars – has a significantly lower buyer base, because most people simply can’t afford it.

“Most homes of this size are on the market for six months, and in many cases considerably longer,” he says.

Oppenheim also predicted that the duo would make a loss on the house: “It is likely that they will sell the house for between $58 million and $60 million, which could see them lose several million dollars on the sale.”

As of September 12, Lopez was believed to be using the home as her primary residence while work was underway on her new property.

In September, the actress and singer took her along Instagram to share photos of herself getting ready for various red carpet events in the massive abode.

Lopez has not commented on her current living situation, but a source claimed she did Daily mail that the singer is taking advantage of the Beverly Hills mega-mansion while her new residence, located in Hidden Hills, is being renovated.

“Jennifer stays [at her and Ben’s former home] because she still owns it, so why not? Plus, her new home in Hidden Hills is being renovated, so it wouldn’t be comfortable to move in yet,” the insider added.

Lopez’s new home is a five-bedroom, eight-bathroom abode that was described in the listing as “exuding sophistication,” offering the perfect blend of “the best of New England charm” and “relaxed California informality.”

Property records show Lopez purchased the 5-acre home through a trust linked to her business manager, after reportedly looking for her ideal new home since April 2024, when rumors of a rift in her marriage first began circulating.

The property covers over 8,600 square meters and consists of a main residence, a guest house, a pool house and a five-stall barn, complete with a tack room and a private riding stable.

Within the main house are five en suite bedrooms, including a ‘luxury master suite’, which features double walk-in closets, a bar, a private balcony and an incredible bathroom worthy of a five-star resort and features a steam shower and enormous bath.

Affleck has long since moved out and reportedly purchased a $20.5 million Pacific Palisades bachelor pad in July 2024.
