Jeff Bezos’ mother Jackie dies on 78 after dementia battle
Jeff Bezos’ Mama, Jackie Bezosdied after a battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was 78.
The founder of Amazon, 61, confirmed the news via a Instagram Tribute Post Shared on Thursday, August 14.
“Her adulthood started a little early when she became my mother at the age of 17. That could not have been easy, but she let it all work,” he wrote. “She bounced at work to love me with cruelty, brought my wonderful father to the team a few years later and then added my sister and brother to her list of people to love, guard and feed. For the rest of her life, that list of people to love, never stopped growing. She always gave so much more than she ever asked.”
He continued: “After a long fight with Lewy Body Dementia she died today, surrounded by so many of us who loved her – her children, grandchildren and my father. I know she felt our love in those last moments. We all had so happy that they are in her life. I keep her safe in my heart forever.”
Jeff drew the message: “I love you, Mom.”
The Bezos Family Foundation, which was co -design by Jackie and Jeff, also shared news about her death Via a statement.

In her explanation, the Foundation described the last years of Jackie as “a quiet last chapter for a life that taught us all, friends and family, the true meaning of grit and determination, kindness and service to others.”
In the meantime, loved ones, friends and followers went to the commentary part of Jeff’s Instagram Post to send their condolences.
Jeff’s wife, Lauren Sanchez Bezos55, said: “We will miss her so much. I love you ❤️💔”
