JD Vance’s wife Usha fuels divorce rumors by getting rid of her wedding ring

In addition to his hug with Erika, JD’s comments about Usha and her faith at the Turning Point event also raised eyebrows.

“How do you teach your children not to put your religion above their mother’s religion? Why do we make Christianity one of the most important things you must have in common to be one of your own, to show that I love America just like you?” a student asked JD

“Everyone has to make their own arrangements here,” he replied. “The way we came to our agreement is that she is my best friend. We talk to each other about these things. That’s why we decided to raise our children as a Christian.”

While he noted that Usha comes to church with him “most Sundays,” he admitted that he hoped she would eventually “be moved by the same thing” that moved him in church.

“Yes, to be honest, I wish that because I believe in the Christian gospel and I hope that my wife will eventually see it that way too,” he explained. “But if she doesn’t, then God says everyone has free will and so that’s not a problem for me.”

His comments led to accusations that he had thrown his wife ‘under the bus’ and ‘Hinduphobia‘ and hypocrisy.
