JD Vance and wife Usha announce they are expecting a fourth child

Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife, Ushahave announced that they are expecting their fourth child.
The couple made the announcement Instagram On Tuesday, he wrote, “We are very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy. Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him at the end of July.”
The second couple shares three children: Ewan8, Vivek5, and Mirabel4.
Usha is the first vice presidential spouse to expect a child while her husband is in office People.
The family lives on the grounds of the United States Naval Observatory. Every vice president since then Walter Mondale lived on that property with their families.
The home was built in 1893. According to the White House, historically vice presidents and their families lived in their own homes, but the cost of securing the private residences became expensive over the years. In 1974, Congress agreed to renovate the Naval Observatory home as a home for the vice president.
In the second family’s announcement, they went on to thank those who cared for their family: “During this exciting and hectic time, we are extremely grateful for the military doctors who are taking excellent care of our family and for the staff members who do so much to ensure we can serve the country while enjoying a great life with our children.”

JD Vance once owned a home in Alexandria, VA. It was put on the market in February 2025 – about a month after he moved into the vice president’s official residence.
The house was purchased by a former Trump official who now serves as a government contractor. The final purchase price was revealed at $1,867,025, which was $172,025 above Vance’s list price of $1.69 million, as first reported by Forbes.
The couple still owns a home in Cincinnati, where the family lived before moving to Washington, DC. Immediately after the holidays, that house became the focus of an investigation after someone smashed the windows of the house. The Secret Service told Realtor.com® that they had apprehended a suspect, Willem Defoor, 26, shortly after midnight on January 5.

Vance had been in Cincinnati for the holidays the week before. In one statement posted on XVance said: “I appreciate everyone’s well wishes regarding the attack on our home. As far as I know, some lunatic tried to break in by banging on the windows.
“I am grateful to the Secret Service and the Cincinnati Police Department for their quick response. We weren’t even home because we were already back in DC.”
