The moment Jay Cutler was handcuffed following his October 2024 arrest for drunken driving and gun possession is now on full display… courtesy of recently released police bodycam footage after he allegedly rear-ended a car while drunk.
In the footage, an officer encounters Jay in Franklin, Tennessee, at the scene of a fender bender with another vehicle, with a few other officers nearby… the officer asks how much Jay had to drink after catching a strong odor of liquor. Jay denies at first, then brushes it off with a “little bit”, but when the officer asks him to take a field sobriety test, Jay flat out refuses… causing the handcuffs to come out.
Jay didn’t resist; he let the police handcuff him and walked straight to the police car. Still, it was a wild twist… as it all started as a routine crash scene, with officers telling Jay and the man he rear-ended to exchange information and call their insurance.
Police took Jay to the hospital for a blood draw … and a law enforcement source tells TMZ the results were a whopping 0.23 percent blood alcohol content — nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08.
Cutler was booked into the Williamson County Jail that evening and posted $5,000 bail
As you know, he reach a plea deal with prosecutors on August 26. He received jail time, a year of supervised probation, a $350 fine… and lost his driver’s license for 12 months.
Cutler was sentenced to 4 days in jail for his DUI plea… but he ultimately clocked only 2 and a half before walking free.
