Jason Kelce was ‘100% right’ in the phone burglary incident, says Rashad McCants

Jason Kelce has received both support and backlash following his viral phone hacking incident…but ex-NBA player Rashad McCants is undoubtedly in the future Hall of Famer’s corner – telling TMZ Sports he has no problem with how the Eagles legend handled the unruly Penn State fan this weekend.
Kelce’s recent outburst has divided the crowd… with the opposition saying he crossed the line by repeating homophobic comments a man made about his brother, Travisbefore the cell was nailed to the sidewalk.

The former North Carolina Tar Heels superstar shared his two cents while in LA this week – before Kelce himself addressed the situation on “Monday Night Countdown” – and he told the instigator to count his lucky stars – did not escalate further.
‘He’s lucky [Kelce] I didn’t hit him,” McCants said. “I think Jason is a standup guy. He did what he felt was right at the time, and that was not to harm the person and to harm the thing he or she loved most, which is that damn phone.”
The former Minnesota Timberwolves guard also addressed the homophobic language … and he points the finger at the man who first said the slur.
“Someone says an F slur to him about his brother,” he said. “You cannot choose whether you are a victim.”

The identity of the man in the video is currently unknown… and so are the police to research the incident.
But when asked if it would be a bad impression if the spectator took legal action for his damaged phone, the 40-year-old said: “Justice will prevail.”
“It’s a new kind of justice right now.”
Ultimately, McCants said athletes aren’t “normal” people… and that it behooves regulars to “not go around fucking people who aren’t normal.”
As for Kelce…he seemed contrite on ESPN, saying he wasn’t proud of his actions.
