Maybe someone wants to tell Jason Bateman to do some homework next time… because of his attempt at grilling Charli XCX because she didn’t want kids, fans were cringing hard!
It all happened on his “Smartless” podcast, when Jason started floating the tired idea that Charli’s stance on having children might change if she met the “right person.” Problem is, the singer is already married …until the 1975s George Daniel.
Jason awkwardly joked that he should “read a newspaper” before throwing out, “Yours.” next Husband, you’re going to want kids!” Yikes.
It was clearly something he was really passionate about… because before Charli let him know that she already had a Mr. Right, he explained to his wife Amanda Anka didn’t want children either… until they met, and they did… and now they are parents of two. Cool story, but definitely out of place.
Unsurprisingly, fans weren’t having it… calling the exchange inappropriate, outdated, and yet another example of women being pressured by outdated standards.
Long story short: Jason may want to check the facts, hire an investigator, or leave the interviewing to people who actually do this for a living (us😏)!
