Jana Duggar gives birth to her first child with husband Stephen Wissmann, after the couple put the finishing touches on Nebraska Fixer-Upper

“19 Kids and Counting” alum Jana Duggar has welcomed her first child with husband Stephan Wissmann just over a year after the couple moved out of the TLC reality star’s childhood home and into a $275,000 fixer-upper in Nebraska.
Jana, 36, started working on it Instagram to reveal the joyful news, sharing a photo of herself and Stephen, 32, sitting on a bed while holding their newborn son.
In the caption of the post, which was shared on January 23, Jana revealed that their son, who they named Archie Gerald Wissmannwas born on December 30, 2025.
The family revealed they took some time to enjoy their little one privately before sharing the news with the world.
“We took some time to get into our new rhythm before sharing this beautiful news. Archie Gerald Wissmann arrived on December 30, 2025 and our hearts have completely changed,” the new parents revealed.
They noted that they are “in these early days, full of love, wonder and so much gratitude.”
In the snapshots, Jana, the eldest of Jim Bob And Michelle Duggar‘s daughters wore a white dress with a beige cardigan.
Her husband opted for a beige sweater and khaki pants.
The new parents smiled from ear to ear as they posed with their son before kissing his forehead in the final photo.
Many of the Duggar siblings rushed to the comments section to congratulate Jana Jill Duggar Dillard writing: “Ah! He’s so cute! I can’t wait to meet him! Congratulations everyone!”
In the meantime, Jessa Duggar Seewald commented: “He’s perfect!!!!” as Jinger Duggar Vuolo added: “Ahhh we love Archie so much already and can’t wait to meet him!!”
Jana, who tied the knot with Stephen in 2024, previously lifted the lid when she met her husband-to-be while dating People.
“I think it’s one of those things that all girls imagine at some point. To me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never going to happen.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to sink in,” she said.
“And I’m like, ‘Wow, this is really something I’ve been dreaming about.’ And just to see it happen is incredible and hard to believe. It’s a dream come true.”

A year after saying “I do,” the lovebirds announced they were expecting their first child.
“We are so excited, January 2026 will come with a little bundle of joy joining our family! We are counting the days and eagerly awaiting this exciting new chapter in our lives!” they said next to beautiful maternity photos.
The duo’s wedding, which took place in the bride’s home state of Arkansas, was attended by 500 guests and saw several of Jana’s sisters serve as bridesmaids.
Just a few weeks after tying the knot, the couple announced another big change in their lives: a move from Arkansas, where Jana still lived on the family’s infamous estate, and into a fixer-upper house in Nebraska that her husband had bought for $275,000.
Jana soon began sharing the renovation process on her YouTube channel, admitting that even though she had moved out of her family’s home, she hadn’t hesitated to call her parents for help with their DIY project.
“I’m so excited to show you all this space and share our renovation plans with you,” the former TLC star said in a YouTube video. “I can’t wait to see this project come to life.”
Jana first revealed her plans to move to Nebraska with her husband in an interview with People magazine, explaining that Stephen already owned a property that they planned to renovate.
“He has a little house that we bought and fixed up and put together, and that was fun,” she said at the time.
The property pales in comparison to the massive home the Duggars featured on their series of reality shows, which started in September 2008 and lasted seven years before it was finally canceled amid her brother Josh’s sexual abuse allegations.

Jana’s move from her childhood home marked an important step for the eldest Duggar daughter, who remained closely intertwined with her parents’ lives until her marriage, even as her other siblings cut ties.
Yet she and Stephen were faced with the challenge of turning their home into a dream home for their growing family – with Jana’s YouTube video revealing a very dated interior in desperate need of a refresh.
In her first video showcasing the property, Jana entered the 2,152-square-foot home, revealing a spacious floor plan with bedrooms on each floor, as well as a basement and significant living space.
The reasonably priced ranch-style home is located in northwest Lincoln. It has a living room with a super glossy floor and two windows, and this flows through to the dining room and galley-style kitchen.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor, while the other two are on the lower floor, along with a relaxation area and a second bathroom. The garden is fully enclosed and there is also a storage room and a garage for two cars.
Their first project involved combining two of the first floor bedrooms into a primary suite, which would have a private bathroom, Jana explained.
Meanwhile, the duo carried out a complete renovation of the kitchen, with the newly pregnant reality star turned YouTuber admitting they had to set up a temporary cooking area in another room while the work was completed.
In a recent video about the renovation, posted in April, Jana revealed that work on the property was essentially complete, with only a few additional design details remaining to be completed.
This included the addition of a ventilation system in the kitchen, which the former TLC star allowed herself to complete with relative ease — before moving on to cutting wood that would serve as new shelves in one of their cabinets.

While Jana ran into a small complication when she realized she had failed to cut the wood to the right size for the space, after a few more attempts she was able to cut it down perfectly.
“As the saying goes, ‘Measure twice, cut once,’” she joked as she went to prune the wood again.
She and Stephen were also putting together furniture for different rooms in the house, before unpacking some larger items, like a new swivel chair for the living room.
The video showed that the couple had opted for a largely neutral aesthetic in their home, with white marble accents in the kitchen and plenty of beige tones in the living room.
Although Jana previously admitted that the project was a huge undertaking, she admitted to her YouTube viewers that there was something very special about building a home with her husband that they knew would serve as the foundation for their family for years to come.
“Putting in a brand new kitchen was definitely a huge undertaking,” she said. “Especially because we do so much of the work ourselves, with the help of family and friends.
“But it’s just so rewarding to see this project come to fruition. I imagine it will be so much more meaningful to use the space for years to come, remembering all the hard work and hard work we put into making this space what it is.”
