Jack Black as host, Jack White as musical guest in the next episode

“Saturday Night Live” has announced its newest host and musical guest, and it will be the rocking duo of Jack Black as host and Jack White as musical guest on April 4.
“SNL” began its 51st season in October 2025, with hosts and musical guests including Bad Bunny and Doja Cat, Amy Poehler and Role Mode and Sabrina Carpenter, who served dual roles as host and musical guest of her episode. In previous seasons, stars such as Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Charli xcx and Lady Gaga have also taken on the double role.
This season also featured Finn Wolfhard, Teyana Taylor, Alexander Skarsgård and most recently ‘Heated Rivalry’ star Connor Storrie, who hosted the show on February 28. So far this season, musical guests like A$AP Rocky, Geese, Cardi B and Mumford & Sons have all performed at Studio 8H.
Ahead of the season premiere, the sketch comedy show has gone through a number of changes, including some casting shakeups. In December 2025, Bowen Yang made a shocking farewell to the show mid-season after first joining the cast in 2018. The news came after previous announcements that Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim and John Higgins would all be leaving.
This season introduced five new cast members: Ben Marshall, Veronika Slowikowska, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson and Tommy Brennan. Now in its fifth season, Marshall was promoted to the cast after joining the show for the first time alongside Please Don’t Destroy, his comedy trio.
“SNL” airs Saturdays at 11:30 PM ET on NBC.
