‘It’ Prequel -show brings pennywise back

The frightening Pennywise de Clown is back, but this time he chases your TV screens.
HBO Max has released the first trailer for “Welcome to Derry”, the “IT” Prequel series that will debut this fall.
“Welcome to Derry” takes place 27 years before the events of the two “IT” films, which were adapted from the iconic horror novel of Stephen King by director Andy Muschietti. As the story goes, the murderous entity feeds it with children before winning for 27 years, so the show follows his earlier murder for the events of the “IT” films.
Bill Skarsgard is back as Pennywise, and the cast “Welcome to Derry” also includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe and Rudy Mancuso.
“This is a book that we love a lot, and we thought that a lot of story still had to be treated,” Andy Muschietti and his sister and producing partner Barbara Muschierti told Entertainment Weekly. “It is so rich in characters and events, we thought we would do justice to the book and fans by going back to this world. In particular, we tell the stories about the Intermezzo, writings of Mike Hanlon based on his research that interviews with the older people in the city. Welcome to DerryWe touch the usual themes that were discussed in the film – friendship, loss, the power of uniform belief – but this story also focuses on using fear as a weapon that is one of things that is also relevant to our time. “
“Welcome to Derry” is produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television, with a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschierti and Jason Fuchs. They produce Executive in addition to Brad Caleb Kane, David Catsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee and Dan Lin. Fuchs, who wrote the TelePlay for the first episode, is a co-show runner with Kane.
