iOS 18.4 will bring Apple Intelligence-powered ‘Priority Notifications’

Apple released his first developer Bèta on Friday for iOS 18.4, which adds a new function “Priority reports”, powered by Apple Intelligence. The addition is intended to help users manage their reports by prioritizing important reports and to minimize distractions of less important.

These priority notifications are displayed in a separate part on the phone’s lock screen. Apple Intelligence will analyze which reports that it thinks should be shown in this section, but you can still wipe out to view all your reports.

The iPhone will currently sort chronological reports, with the most recent warnings that are displayed at the top. With the new position you first see important notifications – even if you received them a while ago compared to others.

According to 9to5macPriority reports are switched off as standard, but you can switch on the function by going to your settings app, selecting the “notifications” option and then opening the “Prioritize notifications” section. Here you can switch on the function.

Apple announced today that Apple Intelligence is on its way to the Vision Pro as part of Visionos 2.4. A beta version of the software is currently available for developers, while the public version has been set for a release in April. The Tech giant also unveiled Apple News+ Food, an upcoming section with which users can search and store recipes of dozens of existing news+ publication partners.
