Intel’s chief executive of products departs among other leadership changes

Semiconductor Giant Intel continues to shake his senior leadership since Lip-Bu Tan took course as CEO took in March.

Intel announced on Monday that Michelle Johnston Holthaus will leave the company after more than three decades. Johnston Holthhaus was the most recent Chief Executive Officer of Intel Products and remains a strategic adviser.

The company also announced the establishment of a central engineering group that, according to Intel, will build a new adapted silicone company for external customers. This group will be helped by Srinivasan “Srini” Iyengar who came to Intel from Cadans Design Systems in July.

Intel also said that Kevok Kechichian, formerly Van Arm, will join the company as head of his data center group. Jim Johnson has been appointed Senior Vice President and general director of Intel’s Client Computing Group. Naga Chandrasekaran, the Chief Technology and Operations Officer of Intel Foundry, the business unit of the company that builds adapted chips for external customers, also plays an extensive role.

“With Srini -Leaving Central Engineering, we focus more closely with customers,” Tan said in a press release from the company. “We are laser -oriented on supplying world -class products and enabling our technical teams to move and implement faster with excellence. Kevork, Jim and Srini are exceptional leaders whose deep technical insight and industrial relationships will be instrumental as we continue to build a new Intel.”

This news comes only a few weeks after the US government has announced a plan to convert existing government subsidies into an interest of 10% in Intel. The deal was structured to punish Intel if the company fallen below 50% owned by its watering canal unit.

These were not the only leadership changes at Intel this year.

Tan who is taken over as CEO in March is remarkable. In July, the company announced that it rented Four new people for sales and technical roles Including Greg Ernst to serve as the most important income officer of Intel.

Intel refused to comment.
