Influencer Estefania Restrepo Valencia dies after highway robbery
Colombian influencer Estefania Restrepo Valencia reportedly died after an alleged robbery.
According to a report from Peoplepublished on Tuesday, October 21, and several local Spanish reports published in the days before, Valencia died on Friday, October 17 from multiple stab wounds. She was 26 years old.
Valencia, who was also known online as “La Traviesta,” was reportedly admitted to the emergency room of Medellín’s Colombian Clinica Las Vegas by her ex-boyfriend with “what appeared to be several knife wounds to her arm and neck,” per People.
The local reports, published by El Columbiano And El Tiempo Spanish news media, among others, stated that she died shortly after being admitted to hospital.
We weekly has contacted the local authorities, the Metropolitan Police of the Aburrá Valley, for comment.
El Columbiano reported on Saturday, October 18, that Valencia was stabbed “four times with a knife” after the ex-boyfriend of the content creator claimed that the attack “took place during a theft case on the Caldas bypass” in Colombia.
The outlet stated that the former boyfriend, whose name has not been publicly released, met with Valencia “in the afternoon… to try to rekindle the relationship that had lasted four years and ended a week earlier due to infidelity.”
According to the outlet, the ex claimed that a “group of men on a motorcycle apparently intercepted them in an attempt to steal their belongings.” The report continued: “The alleged thief attacked the woman on her left shoulder, neck and finger, seriously injuring her.”

Security cameras were reportedly found “at the location where the driver claimed the incident occurred and are being analyzed to determine how the murder occurred,” according to the outlet.
People also reported that the “Metropolitan Police of the Aburrá Valley reportedly opened an investigation, interviewed Valencia’s partner and inspected her body.”
Valencia had built an online following over the past four years, with more than 216,000 followers Facebook and more than 27,000 followers on TikTok. According to El Columbianoshe “made humorous and funny videos, some with the man who took her to the hospital.”
The sun reported on Monday, October 20, that the “Valencia family” has disputed the ex-boyfriend’s “version of events.”

Valencia’s reported death is the second highway fatality an influencer is believed to have suffered in about a month. On September 26 Luanna Araujo and her fiancé Korbinian Andreas Dengler were reportedly killed in a three-way collision on a Brazilian highway on the influencer’s birthday, according to Brazilian news organization g1.
The outlet reported at the time that the pair were in a car with a friend, Herbson Nunes Negraowhen their vehicle struck two trucks around 1:20 a.m. that morning.
All three passengers in the vehicle were reportedly killed and Araújo was 29 years old when she died.
Prior to Araújo’s death, her last Instagram post, shared on September 7, showcased her flair for fashion. She shared a mirror selfie at the time, wearing a white skirt and black shirt paired with gold jewelry and a black bag, writing at the time, “I love it! 🖤🤍,” as translated into English.
