In New Mexico, Timothy Busfield’s New York home is raided while an actor surrenders

Prosecutors filed a motion Wednesday demanding that Busfield remain in custody until his trial, citing his refusal to turn himself in in a timely manner and release his video via TMZ before you go to the police.

“In light of the defendant’s demonstrated disregard for boundaries, authority and compliance, no condition or combination of release conditions can reasonably protect the victims or the community,” the motion said.

It also cited a “documented pattern of sexual misconduct, abuse of power and grooming behavior” spanning more than two decades, and that no conditions of release could adequately protect his alleged victims.

Prosecutors have also taken issue with the Warner Brothers investigation, cited by Busfield’s attorney, claiming it did not go far enough because the investigator allegedly never spoke to key witnesses against the case. The West Wing alum.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Busfield made his first court appearance, wearing a typical orange inmate jumpsuit and showing little emotion.

He was ordered held without bond and remains in custody ahead of his pretrial detention hearing.
