Impact Network Inaugural Scripted Series ‘very favorite’ sets cast

The upcoming first script series from Impact Network has set its cast.
Variety Has learned that the comedy in the workplace “Very favorite” in the workplace cast: Michael Colyar (“Blackish”, “House Party III”, “The Princess & The Frog,” “Martin”), Kiki Shepard (“It’s Showtime at the Apollo, “” Miss Evers Boys “,” Mind Your Business “,” Gray’s Anatomy “), Anthony S. Goolsby (“Will Trent”, “42”), Chico Benymon (“Half & Half,” “Ali”, “The Haunted Hathaways”), Rodney Perry (“Coming to America 2”, “Johnson Family Vacation” ) and Melanie Comarcho (“Phat Tuesday’s”, Snoop Dog’s “F*” F* “F* CN Round “).

The show was set up for the first time at Impact Network in November. As previously announced, it will consist of six episodes. A premiere date must still be determined.

The official logline for the series states: “Worteld in humor, family, community and a touch of absurd, ‘very favorite’ investigates the collision between tradition and modernity through the point of view of the charismatic but old -fashioned pastor Michael Crawley (Colyar).”
Bentley Kyle Evans acts as executive producer, director and showrunner on “very favorite” via Harvest Studios, with Trenten W. Gumbs also performing executive. Royal W. Jackson, Impact Network Executive Vice President, will produce co-executive. Colyar and Shepard also serve as producers in addition to the leading role.

This is a reunion for Colyar and Evans, who previously collaborated on the hit Comedy series “Martin”, where Evans worked on the show as a writer and producer. Colyar appeared in several episodes of the series in the role of Mr. Whitaker.

Character descriptions
First Lady Lavesta Crawley (Shepard) is the real power behind Pastor Crawley and his pulpit. She is his ride-or die, really in favor of her husband and offers him relentless love and encouragement. As a mother, Levesta can be overbearing, but behind her glamorous exterior, a woman who is fiercely dedicated to her family and her role as the appreciated First Lady.
Son Demarcus Crawley (Goolsby) is the Heiliger-DAN-U-assistant pastor and the eldest son who has ambitions to succeed his father as a pastor. But not if Crawley has anything about it.
Michael “MJ” Crawley, Jr. (Benymon), is the younger lost son. A talented music producer who has not reached the great time is MJ under the roof of his parents, together with his daughter Brianna (Kali Rose Lewis), and at the organ accompanied by the church choir.
Deacon Jones (Perry) met Pastor Crawley when they served together in Vietnam. That band strengthened their friendship for life. In the church, Deacon is the confidant of the pastor, who offers relentless support and sometimes the much needed humor.
Sister Sarah (Comarcho) is a loyal church member who often goes with the First Lady Teen. She is also Lavesta’s best friend, loyalty personified and loves the crawley’s like the family she never had.
