The man who reportedly rep. Ilhan Omar with an unknown substance in a syringe was transported to a Minnesota prison… and posed for a mugshot looking like a total sad sack.
Anthony James Kazmierczak was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on Tuesday night for assault following his shocking on-camera interaction with Congressman Omar.
As you can see from his booking photo, Kazmierczak had a very rough night, with bloodshot eyes and messy hair. He is currently being held without bail.
Tuesday night, Omar (D-Minn.) was standing at a podium addressing a crowd of people at a town hall meeting when Kazmierczak came out of nowhere and sprayed the politician with the unidentified brown liquid.
Minneapolis police officers quickly jumped in and arrested Kazmierczak, with the entire incident captured by TV news cameras.
After being splashed by the liquid, Omar lunged at Kazmierczak, raising her fist at him and saying in part, “These damn motherfuckers aren’t getting away with this.”
The New York Times reports that the substance had a strong vinegar odor – and a photo shows the syringe Kazmierczak allegedly used.
Before the attack, Omar called for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement amid rising tensions in Minneapolis following the shooting Rene Good And Alex Pretti by federal agents.
