Hudson Williams Teases Season 2 of ‘Heated Rivalry’ at Oscars: ‘Sex’

“Heated Rivalry” star Hudson Williams was tight-lipped on the Oscars red carpet and used just one word to describe what the beloved show’s second season has in store: “Sex.”
Williams, who shot to fame earlier this year playing Shane Hollander in Crave’s steamy Canadian hockey romance, made his first-ever Oscar appearance on Sunday. When you speak to CNN and Variety, the star described the experience as “surreal and satisfying.”
Season 2 is expected to begin filming this summer, creator Jacob Tierney said Variety Marc Malkin at the GLAAD Media Awards earlier this month. “We’re still on track,” he said, also noting that he “sits in a room all day writing.”
While the news will certainly be exciting for eager fans, one particular celebrity in particular will also be excited: Kerry Washington. The ‘Scandal’ actress said this on Thursday Variety that she loves the show. “I just bought one of those candles on Instagram – an ‘I’m coming to the cottage’ candle,” she told Malkin at the “Imperfect Women” premiere. “I’m obsessed.” She even called the series “one of the best television series of recent decades.”
“I love Kerry, man,” Williams said on the carpet. “She’s so talented. It was great to hear that from her.”
In addition to Season 2 of “Heated Rivalry,” fans can also soon see Williams in his next project, “Yaga,” another Crave series. The half-hour drama series is based on a hit play written by Kat Sandler, a Canadian playwright. Other announced cast members include Carrie-Anne Moss (“The Matrix), Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”) and Clark Backo (“Letterkenny”).
