Hollywood stars swear off smartphones, radar reveals why

Thirty-four-year-old Ed Sheeran learned about his good friend Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce the same way the rest of the world did.
Swift explained that she scrolled through her text messages to notify her loved ones Show tonight host Jimmy Fallon that she failed to inform Sheeran because he was not in her contacts.
“You have to email him, and if you want to FaceTime him, he has to find an iPad. They have to give it to him like he’s a kid you’re giving the iPad to,” the 35-year-old joked, adding that she was devastated when she realized she hadn’t told her boyfriend. “When the news came out, I thought, ‘Oh, my God! We forgot to call Ed.'”

“He spent the entire meal typing emails, and I sat there lonely and bored,” says the Barbie star said The Hollywood Reporteradding that not having a smartphone was “a conscious decision, because honestly it scares me a little bit, like I would really lose control of my waking life.”

“I’ve definitely learned how to set boundaries, and I just don’t feel like I owe anyone anything,” he explained.
“That helped me to just be able to say no and just be firm about it and know that my heart wants to help people, but I can’t do everything.” More recently, however, the Sorry singer has been spotted with a phone.
