Every day, Inman gets a slew of announcements about major teams and industry leaders moving from one company to another. It’s more than we can cover!
So here are some of the biggest announcements in recent days:
Brown Harris Stevens
After being away for a year, Chloe Chasanoff has rejoined Brown Harris Stevens. Chasanoff, who comes from one of New York City’s most prominent real estate families, works with buyers and sellers in Manhattan and Brooklyn, helping them navigate prime neighborhoods and residential buildings in both boroughs.
“We are delighted to welcome Chloe back home,” CEO of BHS Berry Freedman said. “Her New York roots, strong market instincts and dedication to customer service make her a great fit for our culture and a valuable asset to the clients we serve.”
Corcoran Real Estate
Former SVP Operations of LPT Holdings Mercedes Saewitz has taken her talents to Corcoran. Saewitz is the brokerage’s New York regional VP for Florida and will lead the firm’s Miami Beach and Surfside offices, while also providing regional support to the firm’s Palm Beach County offices.
“It has always been important to me to be part of a company that I truly believe in, and Corcoran’s core values of integrity, service and market expertise align perfectly with mine,” she said. “…I look forward to strengthening our agents and driving innovation in an increasingly global and competitive marketplace.”
REMAX
Denver-based franchisor REMAX has expanded its presence in Rhode Island with HomeSmart Professionals, a company with six offices and more than 300 agents in the Ocean State. Former REMAX agent Dean deTonnancourt founded the brokerage in 2014, which will now operate as REMAX Revolution.
“REMAX is truly agent-centric,” he said. “The branding, marketing and tools are all built and designed with the agent in mind.”
Zumper
Rental marketplace Zumper has been promoted to Chief Revenue Officer Shawn Mullahy to CEO, as a former leader and co-founder of the company Anthemos Georgiades transition to chairman of the Board of Directors. Mullahy joined Zumper in 2019 and followed leadership roles at MySpace NYC, Cloverfield Brokerage Group, RCGNY and SG2 Properties.
“What excites me most right now are the opportunities that lie ahead,” Mullahy said. “Our team builds solutions that go far beyond a traditional marketplace, helping real estate operators simplify marketing, reach tenants more effectively and turn digital discoveries into real rental results.”
