‘Haunted Hotel’ renewed for season 2 at Netflix

Netflix leaves viewers back in the ‘Haunted Hotel’, because the animated comedy series for adults has been renewed for season 2.

The show, from “Rick and Morty” writer Matt Roller, follows a single mother who juggles with the parenting of two children and runs the subject, a hotel that happens to be chased. Fortunately, she gets some management aid from her alienated brother – who is now one of the spirits to occupy the hotel.

“Haunted Hotel” has a Voice cast with Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson. The first season began to be broadcast in September and was won by Netflix in what the streamer describes as a ‘very competitive auction’. The renewal comes only a week after the launch of season 1.

Roller is the showrunner of “Haunted Hotel” after serving as co-executive producer of Dan Harmon’s “Krapopolis”, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s “Mr. Mayor” and two seasons of “The Goldbergs.” His writing credits also include ‘speechless’, ‘community’, ‘son of Zorn’, ‘Rick and Morty’ and FX’s ‘Archer’.

He produces ‘Haunted Hotel’ next to Chris McKenna, Harmon and Steve Levy. Erica Hayes is the supervisory director.

“I am very happy to work with Netflix and an incredibly talented cast and crew to bring the stories of the dead, evil and the wrestling hospitality workers in the Undervval Hotel to life,” Roller said in a statement.

Netflix’s director of adult animation, Billy Woe, added: “” Haunted Hotel “is very inventive and I am Matt, Chris, then and their team very grateful for bringing their talents to Netflix. They are phenomenal employees and I can’t wait for fans around the world to experience this hilarious show.”
