Harrison Ford makes a rare appearance at the Actor’s Award during a retirement talk

Last year, Ford was asked if he wanted to retire, and he slammed the door on the idea of doing so.
“No,” he boldly asserted when the subject came up.
He added: “One of the things I found attractive about an actor’s work was that they also need old people to play the roles of old people.”
As for why Ford has retreated lately: Radar reported that his refusal to “play the Hollywood game” has caused him to be excluded from the social circles that once welcomed him.
“Harrison has always had a sharp tongue, and age has not softened that. He skips parties, avoids small talk and never engages in networking,” says an insider. “People still admire what he accomplished, but that doesn’t mean they enjoy working with him. Missing the Emmy wasn’t just about the role — it showed how disconnected he has become from everyone else.”
As for his lifestyle, another source claimed that he and Flockhart had “created their own little bubble in Wyoming.”
“They are both natural loners who prefer each other’s company over anyone else’s,” they explained. “They rarely see old friends, even from their acting days – and Calista is perfectly content with that because she is as private as Harrison.”
