Harris Jokes About Trump Supporters ‘Leaving Rallies Early Out of Boredom’

Kamala Harris blasted Donald Trump labeled “boring” during their first-ever presidential debate on Tuesday night, touching on a sensitive topic for the former president who has placed great emphasis on audience size.

RadarOnline.com can reveal that Harris, 59, jokingly encouraged viewers to attend an event hosted by Trump, 78, saying: “It’s really interesting to watch.”

As the back and forth between the rivals became more and more heated ABC News During the debate stage, Harris joked, “You’ll find him talking about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter at his rallies.”

She was referring to the Republican candidate’s strange comments about the “late great” Silence of the Lambs villain.

The Democrat continued, “He’ll talk about windmills causing cancer! And what you’ll also notice is that people are starting to leave his meetings early out of exhaustion and boredom.”

Harris continued, “The one thing you won’t hear him talk about is you. You won’t hear him talk about your needs, your dreams and your desires. And I’ll tell you: I believe you deserve a president who actually puts you first. And I promise you I will.”

Trump fired back by using his own insults about Harris’ rallies.

He claimed that “people don’t go to them” because there is “no reason”, before accusing the vice president of “bringing people in” and “paying them to be there”.

He added: “So she can’t talk about that. People don’t leave my rallies. We have the biggest rallies, the most incredible rallies in the history of politics.”

During the heated back-and-forth, Trump also accused Harris and her running mate of: Tim Walzof supporting “baby executions,” which the vice president denied.

A big question leading up to the event was whether Trump would resort to his usual personal attacks or listen to his advisers and keep his comments on policy issues. As they faced off, moderators were forced to interrupt Trump several times to keep the debate on track.

At one point, when Harris spoke up during Trump’s response, the former president said, “Wait a minute, I’m talking right now, if you don’t mind, please. Sound familiar?” in reference to her infamous comment during a previous debate.

Trump and Harris stood on stages adjusted to accommodate their height difference at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The event had no live audience and was moderated by Davis ABC News Live Prime And World news tonight David Muir.
