Grok is unpromptedly telling X users about South African ‘white genocide’
The Ai Chatbot Grok of Elon Musk seemed to experience a bug on Wednesday, so that it replied to dozens of messages on X with information about “white genocide” in South Africa, even when the user did not ask anything about the subject.

Several users have posted on X about their confusing, strange interactions with the grock Ai Chatbot on Wednesday.
It is currently unclear what the cause of the strange answers from Grok is, but Xai’s chatbots have been manipulated in the past.
In February, GROK 3 seemed to have short -censored unflatter mentions from Elon Musk and Donald Trump. At the time, Xai Engineering Lead Igor Babuschkin seemed to confirm that Grok was instructed in brief, although the company quickly reversed the instruction after the return attracted more attention.
Whatever the cause of the bug has been, Grok now seems to normally respond more to users. A spokesperson for Xai did not immediately respond to WAN’s request for comment.
