‘Great North’ canceled after five seasons at Fox

“The Great North” was canceled in Fox after five seasons, Variety has learned.
“We are so grateful for everything Wendy, Lizzie, Loren and the great cast and crew have placed in ‘The Great North’,” said Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network. “It’s hard to say goodbye, but we are grateful for the five hilarious seasons ‘the Great North’ to the iconic line -up of the animation -Dominance.”
The animated comedy originally debuted on the employment network in January 2021 and wrapped its fifth, and now final, season in September 2025. The series was made and written by “Bob’s Burgers” output Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux logelin, as well as writer Minty Lewis.
The Molyneux sisters served as executive producers and show runners. “Bob’s Burgers” Maker Loren Bouchard was also an executive producer. The series was a 20th television animation production and animation was produced through Bento Box Entertainment.
The series played Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Will Forte, Paul Rust, Aparna Nancherla, Dulce Sloan, Megan Mullally and Alanis Morissette.
The official logline for the show stated that it followed “the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as single dad Beef (Offerman) does his best to keep his bunch of kids close – especially his only daughter, Judy (Slate), whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the Glamorous World of the Local Mall. Friend, Alanis Morissette (expressed himself), who appears in the Northern Lights. ”
Fox announced in April that the animation had renewed “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers” for each four more seasons. In addition, “American Dad” officially returns to Fox for the 2025-2026 season, also with a pick-up of four seasons. Other animated shows from Fox are “Krapopolis”, “Grimsburg” and “Universal Basic Guys.”
