GPT-5 is supposed to be nicer now

At the end of Friday, OpenAi announced that it updates its newest model to be ‘warmer and friendlier’.
The company recently launched the long-awaited GPT-5 In a process that CEO Sam Altman gave, “something bumper than we had hoped”, some users complained that they prefer the previous model, GPT-4O.
OpenAi tries to tackle some of those complaints with this update, with changes that are ‘subtle’ according to the changes, but will make GPT-5 ‘now more approachable’.
“You will notice small, sincere touches such as ‘good question’ or ‘great start’ A post on social media. “Internal tests do not show any rise in sycophancy compared to the previous GPT-5 personality.”
During a dinner this week with journalists, OpenAI managers tried to concentrate on the plans of the company after GPT-5, but as Max Zeff reports, the Rocky Launch was the elephant in the room. Regarding model-friendliness, VP Nick Turley said that the GPT-5 “was just very relevant”, but that the new update-as is now announced, would feel warmer.
