Google Gemini now brings receipts to your AI chats

Google’s Gemini Ai -Chatbot can now adjust answers based on the content of previous conversations, the company has announced in a Blog post On Thursday. Gemini can summarize an earlier conversation that you have had with it, or recall information that you have shared in another discussion wire.

This means that you do not have to repeat information that you have already shared with Gemini or combing through old threads for extra info.

Gemini’s ability to call up conversations is being rolled out today for English-language subscribers of Google’s $ 20 per month AI Chatbot subscription, Google One AI Premium. In the coming weeks, Google says that the recall function will roll out extra languages ​​and for users with Enterprise accounts.

The aim of the function is to make Gemini liquid and more personal – but not every user will be happy with the idea of ​​the platform that stores old information.

To tackle privacy problems, Google says that users enable users to assess, remove or decide how long it will retain your chat history. Users can completely disable the recall function by going to the “My Activity” page in Gemini. Google also notes that it never trains AI models based on the history of user interviews.

That said, different AI chatbot providers have experimented with memory and recall.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has previously noted That improved memory is one of the most requested functions of chatgpt.

Google and OpenAi have both engaged more general ‘memory’ functions for their AI chatbots in the past year. This allows chatgpt and gemini details to remember about you, such as how you like to be addressed, your food preferences or that you prefer to ride on a bike than driving a car.

However, these existing memory functions do not remember your full chat history.
