FX orders comedy pilot ‘Movers’, WWE’s Becky Lynch under Cast

FX has picked up the comic pilot “Movers” from a team of “Reno 911” alums, Variety has learned.

The improvised comedy in the workplace would revolve around ‘the irregular and codependent life of a crew of movers’. The man and female team of Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim are the stars, fellow makers and executive producers of the pilot.

Moreover, the pilot has set five cast members. Those are: Rebecca Quin (aka Becky Lynch of Wwe Fame), Maz Jobrani (“Jimmy Vestvood: American Hero,” “Superior Donuts”), Darius Homayoun (“Sex/Life”), Tanael Joachim (“” Irah “), and and”), and and “and”, “and” and “” “” “” “” “” “” “”, “”. FX’s “Mayans MC”).

“Reno 911” executive producers Stacey Sher and Peter Principato are also executive producers of the pilot together with Jonny Shipes. 20th television is the studio.

The show was broadcast for six seasons on Comedy Central between 2003 and 2009 before the new life was revived in Quibi and then later on the Roku channel. The show also inspired the movie “Reno 911!: Miami” and the specials “Reno 911: The Hunt for Qanon” and “Reno 911: it’s a wonderful robbery.” Garant is also an accomplished screenwriter and has worked on films such as the ‘Night at the Museum’, ‘The Pacifier’ and ‘Hell Baby’.

Shim appeared in several roles in “Reno 911” during his run, including playing Junior’s wife in one episode. Her recent credits include the directorial debut of Anderson Paak, “K-Pops”, as well as shows such as “Superior Donuts”, “The Cleveland Show” and “Bajillion Dollar Brokers.”
