‘Full Speed’ ends up in Season 2 as NASCAR partners with words and pictures

NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures have partnered to form Full Speed ​​Entertainment, a new production partnership that will develop and produce racing documentaries, series, special event studio shows and podcasts.

One of the banner’s first projects will be season 2 of the NASCAR docuseries “Full Speed.” Variety has learned. The new season will be released on Netflix in 2025.

“I couldn’t be more excited to expand our NASCAR partnership with Full Speed ​​Entertainment,” said Connor Schell, CEO and founder of Words + Pictures. “The first season of Full Speed ​​was a very valuable project for our company, and it was exciting to work side by side with NASCAR Studios every step of the way. The opportunity to partner with them and bring more great racing content to the public opens up a wealth of possibilities that we can’t wait to get started on.”

Tally Hair, executive producer of “Full Speed” and longtime NASCAR contributor, will serve as general manager of Full Speed ​​Entertainment.

“It’s such a natural partnership for NASCAR Studios and for me personally,” said John Dahl, NASCAR vice president of content. “I have so much respect and appreciation for Connor. We have had a great working relationship and friendship dating back to the founding of ESPN Films and 30 for 30, and I am excited about all the possibilities we can explore in this new chapter.”

Schell and Peter Chernin founded Words + Pictures in 2021. The company’s other documentaries and docuseries include “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story,” “Giannis: The Marvelous Journey,” “Super League: The War for Football” and ‘Full Hofpers.”

Earlier this year, NASCAR signed with CAA for representation to strengthen NASCAR Studios; the partnership is “established to develop strategic relationships across existing IP across film, television, music and podcasts, and to grow the brand with diverse new talent.”
