Friends of Rod Stewart fear that rock legend will drink himself to death

Rock star Rod Stewart hasn’t given up his hard partying ways yet – and his friends now fear he’ll drink himself to death.
Concerns over Stewart’s health mounted after shocking new photos emerged showing the 79-year-old pickled pop star being loaded into the backseat of a limousine after a night out drinking. RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Sources said: “Rod always prided himself on being able to mix his drinks with the best of them. But now people are fearful of the cumulative damage he has done to himself.”
In 2021, the Forever young singer promised to cut back on alcohol, but he apparently did not keep that promise. In fact, he recently admitted that he hits the bottle hard after every show.

Stewart admitted: “I’m aware of it my days are numberedbut I have no fear.”
These days he claims he drinks water between cocktails, but he still has no plans to stop the hard work.
He joked in a recent interview: “You’re talking to the Rod Stewart, mate. We go crazy after every show. There’s thirteen of us… really great musicians – and I make them drink. We absolutely love it .”

Last year he launched Wolfie’s Whiskey, his own brand of blended Scotch.
The veteran rocker boasted, “I’m not short of the drinking we did in the ’70s.”
It turns out that old habits die hard – and Stewart’s drinking continues to get him in trouble with the police as he approaches his eighties.

Speaking about his refusal to give up his partying lifestyle and spend his final years without booze, Stewart said: “We all have to transition at some point, so we’re all in the same basket. I’ve been having a good time lately. few years as much as I can.”
Although he said he has no plans to stop drinking, he acknowledged that age has caught up with him: “I’m not like I was in the ’70s and ’80s and I can’t stay up all night, get drunk and going crazy and I still have that voice. Nowadays I have to protect my voice before and after every show.”

Despite his alleged excessive alcohol consumption, Stewart insisted he was focusing on his health after previous battles with the thyroid prostate cancer.
The rock and roll legend admitted: “I’m a bit of one hypochondriac. I think men especially should take advantage of all the wonderful medical science out there.”
“I had a good time and a good life, and I enjoyed it, so I wouldn’t want anything more.”
