‘Friday the 13th’ Prequel series ‘Crystal Lake’ Casts William Catlett

“Crystal Lake”, the coming “Friday the 13th” Prequel series from Peacock, added William Catlett to his cast.

Catlett will play the leading role in addition to previously announced series Linda Cardellini, who will play Pamela Voorhees. Catlett will play the leading role as Levon Brooks, although exact character details remain under wraps. The show will focus on the life of Voorhees prior to the events of the first “Friday the 13th” film. The show was originally picked up directly to the series in Peacock in 2022.

Catlett recently appeared in several episodes by Mara Brock Akil’s Netflix series “Forever”, which was based on the novel of Judy Blume of the same name. He previously worked with Akil on the CW Superhero series ‘Black Lightning’. His other TV credits are “Constellation” and “The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray” at Apple TV+ and “Lovecraft Country” at HBO. He played in films such as “Thousand and one” and “Never let go.”

Catlett is being reputed by IAG, anonymous content, Grat uson des Rochers.

Brad Caleb Kane took over as a maker, writer, showrunner and executive producer on “Crystal Lake” in August 2024. A24 is also executive. Victor Miller, who wrote the original film in the franchise, remains on board as an executive products together with Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian and Stuart Manashil. A24 is the studio.

The original “Friday the 13th” was released in 1980. It raised almost $ 60 million for a reported budget of $ 550,000. Since then there are eleven further films in the franchise, including “Jason X”, “Freddy vs. Jason” and the reboot 2009. Jason became the most important antagonist who started with the second film.
