Fox sees rather than expected sale for All-Star Game advertisements

The advertiser’s question about the All-Star game of the Major League Baseball has been so intense, even the commercials that may never be honored are broken up.

Fox expects to run nearly 80 commercials in the course of July 15one Broadcast of the Midsummer Classic, planned to take place in Atlanta this year, but many advertisements associated with game elements that cannot be predicted, such as pitching changes or extra innings, are also spoken for, says Mark Evans, Executive Vice president of advertising sale for FOX Sports, during a recent interview.

“Sales are usually just before the competition in July,” he says. “We were sold out at the beginning of June – a full month earlier.” He predicts that this year’s All-Star game will have a record number of commercials, sold at some of the highest prices in the event and generates some of the greatest income that Fox has seen for spectacular baseball.

The All-Star game is, just like many traditional sports broadcasts, a bump in the streaming era. While other TV support pillars such as Primetime dramas and comedies are fighting to recommend Madison Avenue’s attention, in some cases top sports events sell faster and furious than expected. NBC, for example, has seen a heavy response to the next 2026 Super Bowl broadcast, and both NBC and Amazon have closed early deals for their new NBA matches that will come up with the competition next season.

Fox is looking for between $ 750,000 and $ 800,000 for a commercial of 30 seconds in the All-Star game, according to a person who is familiar with the case.

Viewers will see a coterie of the usual MLB advertisers, including Mastercard, but can notice more than expected impressions of restaurants, retailers and pharmaceutical marketers. Fox’s Evans says that interest in recording summer dollars and back-to-school expenditure can encourage the first two categories to adhere to the game.
