Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris claims ‘world’s leading sustainable supply chain programme’ | News

The landmark Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has been recognized with the title of The World’s Leading Sustainable Supply Chain Program 2025 by voters on the World Awards for Sustainable Travel and Hospitality.

Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has completely redesigned its supply chain model, integrating responsible sourcing, waste reduction and ethical partnerships into every aspect of its operations. With this award, the hotel shows that true luxury can go hand in hand with excellence, social responsibility and a deep commitment to the planet.

The award was unveiled in front of hundreds of global sustainable tourism leaders gathered in Dubai for the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2025. The VIP ceremony was held at Terra, Expo City Dubai and recognized the individuals and organizations accelerating change in net positive tourism.

“This award is a tribute to the relentless commitment of our teams, who work every day to redefine the standards of luxury hospitality through a sustainable and responsible model. Thanks to their passion, determination and creativity, we continue to demonstrate that exceptional hospitality and a deep commitment to sustainability can truly go hand in hand,” said Thibaut Drege, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.

The award recognizes a series of ambitious initiatives that reflect the hotel’s deep and ongoing commitment to sustainability. For example, the hotel has introduced a responsible purchasing charter, which integrates strict environmental and social criteria into all its purchasing processes. The charter covers 14 categories of products and services, ranging from office supplies to technological equipment, with an emphasis on certified materials (Ecolabel, FSC, GOTS), local sourcing, waste reduction and circular economy principles. Since launch, 66 percent of suppliers have embraced the charter’s principles. Today, more than 81 percent of supplies and packaging are eco-certified and 100 percent of wood-based products come from FSC or PEFC-certified origin.
