Four journalists killed in Israeli strikes in the Gaza Hospital

Four journalists who work for international press differences, including The Associated Press, Reuters and Al Jazeera, were killed on Monday by an Israeli strike in the Nasser Hospital in the Southern Gaza Strip.
The dead press professionals, all of whom were Palestinian, have been identified as Hussam Al-Masri, a cameraman who works for Reuters; Mohammed Salama, a photojournalist with Al Jazeera; And Mariam Abu Daqqa, a freelance journalist who works with various media, including the Associated Press. The fourth has not yet been identified.
The deaths were announced by the Gaza Health Ministry in a statement and confirmed by several media, including the AP, Reuters, Al Jazeera and the BBC.
Gaza -Health officials said there had been two strikes. The first was aimed at the fourth floor of the Nasser Hospital, followed by a second strike at the same location as the first responds hurried to restore the wounded and death. The journalists had arrived after the first strike right behind to witness and report what had happened.
“We are devastated to learn from the death of Reuters contractor, Hussam al-Masri, and injuries to another of our contractors, Hatem Khaled, in strikes in the Nasser Hospital in Gaza today,” Reuters said in a statement.
“We send our deepest participation and thoughts to the family and loved ones of Hussam. We are urgently looking for more information and have asked the authorities in Gaza and Israel to help us get urgent medical help for Hatem. We will give an update if we have more information,” added it.
“This is one of the deadliest Israeli attacks on journalists working for international media since the Gaza war war,” said the Foreign Press Association that journalists represent those working for international news organizations reporting from Israel, the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in a statement.
“We demand an immediate explanation from the Israeli defense troops and the office of the Israeli Prime Minister. We call on Israel once and for all to stop his disgusting practice of aiming on journalists,” it added.
According to the international federation of journalists, at least 212 Palestinian journalists and his media employees have so far been killed in the Israel-Hamas war.
A statement from the Israeli defense forces said that the chief of the general staff was instructed to conduct an initial investigation, Reuters reported.
“The IDF regrets any damage to non -relatively persons and does not focus on journalists as such,” said it in a statement. “The IDF works to reduce damage to non -interested persons as much as possible while maintaining the safety of IDF troops,” it added. The explanation added that the IDF “has any damage for non -relatively persons and does not target it as such.”
