Former Prince Andrew hoped to join forces with cousin Harry before his arrest

After Andrew’s arrest, the rest of the royal family is doing everything they can to publicly distance themselves from him, saying that the king fears that the Epstein scandal could threaten the entire monarchy.
Insiders say 77-year-old Charles worries “that there is more to come.”
“The king has done everything he can; he has stripped Andrew of his titles, removed him from his home and is trying to keep Andrew out of the picture, but it is proving impossible,” they added.
Although Charles took over Andrew’s royal titles, he still paid for his brother’s living expenses.
“King Charles did not completely sideline Andrew and thereby finance Andrew’s current living situation,” British broadcaster Helen Chard said. “His reasoning is likely due to a combination of family obligations and a desire to maintain control of the situation. By supporting Andrew privately, the king can manage the narrative and minimize damage to the monarchy. The irony is that it doesn’t go to plan.”
