Former Fabula -Exec Daniel Castell Strikes Alliance with Juntos Films

Chile’s Juntos Films has forged a strategic partnership with Bandada, the new label of former Fabula -Exec Daniel Castell. The move is aimed at strengthening his script content slate for platforms in the Spanish-speaking market worldwide and at the same time determining exclusivity for all series. This includes a first-look deal between the two companies that include both screened and unwritten feature films and non-fiction series.
Juntos partners Francisco Hervé and Moisés Sepúlveda follow the Showrunner workshop in Madrid Confab Iberseries & Platino Industria with their “Culpables Inocents” sera project.
The company has built its reputation on films designed “to entertain, move and fill reflection,” said Hervé, one of the three partners at Juntos films. “Our focus has always been on getting married strong creative development with streamlined production processes and this new alliance opens the door to bring that philosophy into premium series,” he added.
The credits include the much -praised “The Fabulous Gold Harvesting Machine” by Alfredo Pourailly, which huvelde the best film in Guadalajara, Sanfic and Lima in 2024; “Bitter Gold” by Juan Olea, awarded in Warsaw and selected last year in Cairo and India; Documentary “The Other One” by Francisco Bermejo, who won the best film in the Burning Lights section in Visions du Réel 2020; And thriller “immersion” by Nico Postiglione, a multiple winner in Guadalajara and now streams on Amazon Prime worldwide.
For Castell, who spent almost 10 years as a creative producer at Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín’s Fabula before founding Bandada, the partnership marks a logical progression in his career. During his time at Fabula, he played a key role in developing the TV division of the company – from serving only the Chilean market to landing original script content for international streaming platforms in less than five years.
His credits are “Midnight Family” from Apple TV+; Spanish co -production ‘A Long Petal of the Sea’, based on the novel by Isabel Allende with shooting dates and still to be determined platform; Netflix Originals “Baby Bandito” and “Homemade”; Amazon Prime videos “The Pack” and “The President”, as well as Spotify’s Audio “Quemar Tu Casa” and “Creepyhunters”, both made by the much -praised writer Julio Rojas (“Case 63”).
“In Bandada we are committed to developing fat-printed, internationally resonant IPs in script film and television ideas that are fresh, outside the frameworks, and built-in collaboration with non-Hegemonic voices,” said Castell. “By joining forces with Juntos, we enable us to push those ideas further and wider, which combines our networks and creative muscles to build premium series from Latin America for the world. Juntos has a proven state of service in finding out innovative and risky stories, making this partnership particularly exciting.”
With Castell on board, Juntos is ready to increase his footprint and take advantage of his track record and global experience to develop IPs with large -scale attraction.
“This alliance signals the start of a new chapter for us – a true Chilean stories on a worldwide stage,” said Sepúlveda by Juntos.
