Fire Food Network star Paula Deen speaks out about racial slur scandal

“Hey, you made my sons and I the genuine decision that Thursday 31 July was the last day for the Lady & Sons and the chicken box,” she wrote in a message signed by herself and her adult sons Jamie and Bobby.
“Thank you for all the great memories and for your loyalty in the past 36 years. We have endless love and gratitude for every customer who has walked through our doors.
“We are our incredible staff, past and present, whose hard work, care and hospitality has made the Lady & Sons what it was.”
Deen promised her constant dedication to her hometown, while she also promoted her remaining restaurants over the US
“Savannah will always be our home, and we will always be here to support our beautiful community,” she wrote. “We will now focus our attention on the four kitchen locations of Paula Deen throughout the country, in Pigeon Forge, Myrtle Beach, Nashville and Branson.”
