FCC chairman Brendan Carr I just fired a warning shot on “The View” … suggests that the ABC Daytime Panel Show could be the following on his list after ABC’s indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel‘s Late-Night program.
View it … Carr on Thursday was a guest on “The Scott Jennings Radio Show”, where he explained why other talk shows – such as ABC’s “The View” – are not required To air opposing points of view or to provide opposite candidates on the same program, for example … and why that can change in the future.

As the chairman explained, “The View” and his competitors are officially labeled “BonaFide News” programs … which means that they are exempt from following the FCC’s equal time rule. They are therefore not obliged to give political rivals equal on every show.
‘The View’, however, was founded by the legendary news woman Barbara Walters And is produced by ABC News – so it is unclearly the news data that Carr has a matter here to withdraw their exemption status.

ABC is of course an FCC-regulated network. Carr noted … “It is worthwhile to have the FCC look at whether ‘The View’ and some of the programs that you are still eligible as bona fide news programs and therefore exempt from the regime for equal opportunities that the congress has introduced.”

The comments from the Commissioner came on the heels of Kimmel’s indefinite suspension About his comments about Charlie Kirk’s murderer. His expulsion came after Carr and affiliated owners Nexstar and Sinclair objected on behalf of their market audience against the words of Kimmel.
“The View” was particularly quiet about the suspension of Kimmel Thursday, even though it was the biggest news of the day.
As they say … does not bite the hand you feed !!!
