On January 3, news broke that Miller had given birth to her second baby, her first with boyfriend, earlier that month Oli Green. Miller also shares older daughter Marlowe with ex-fiance Tom Sturridge.
“I spent so much time preparing for the birth [with Marlowe]and there was absolutely no thought given to what happens when I come home with a baby. At least now I know what that’s like,” the actress joked Fashion in the Winter 2024 cover story.
During her first pregnancy, Miller had an emergency C-section after a 27-hour labor. “It was like a terrible trick of the universe,” she recalled. “I thought, ‘This can’t be how my sister felt at home in her birthing pool.’ It was so essential in my mind that I get it right. And so emblematic of the kind of mother I would be, that I wasn’t. But in retrospect, I know these were just the demons of new motherhood.
For baby No. 2, Miller emphasized that she “didn’t want to put pressure on myself.”
