Although Karoline herself did not comment on the situation, a government official told A media outlet that “Karoline was not involved in this case in any way.”

Aside from this family matter, Karoline recently opened up about having PTSD from constantly changing plans with her husband because of her job and how it has affected her marriage.

“Honestly, I have PTSD when it comes to making plans, so I just don’t do that,” she admitted, noting that she’s had to cancel many date nights. “We’ll just get on with it. If there’s a night when I get off, we’ll take full advantage of it as a family.”

“Definitely, it’s very difficult to make plans in this job,” she added. “My husband and I had three different mini-weekend getaways this summer. All three were canceled due to foreign policy events.”
