EXCLUSIVE: ’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ Star Scares Future Mother-in-Law After Revealing His Filthy Aruba Bachelorette Pillow

Hosting future in-laws at home is an intimidating milestone in their relationship for people who want to impress their partner’s families, but for the star of ’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ Johny Fernandesthe attempt to woo his fiancée’s mother with a tour of his Aruba home failed almost as soon as it began.
Fernandes, 32, works as an entertainer on a pirate ship party boat and met his fiancée for the first time Chloe Fabiano23, while she was on a girls’ trip in his home country.
After nearly a year of falling in love and long distance, Chloe left her lucrative career as a saleswoman for her mother’s logistics and shipping company in Boston to work full-time at Fernandes.
In season 7 of the hit TLC dating show, a spinoff of the original series “90 Day Fiance,” Chloe is one of six American citizens who move abroad to marry their foreign love.
“I’m leaving a six-figure job to move to Aruba because I fell in love with a man on a pirate ship,” she says in a trailer for the new season, which premiered in September.
Now, in one exclusive clip from the upcoming episode titled “No Mas!”, Chloe’s mother Michelle travels to the island country to see for herself the house her daughter has moved to, and Fernandes feels the pressure.
“Chloe’s mother is here today and it will be the first time she will actually see where Chloe lives with me,” says Fernandes.

As the trio pulls into the driveway of a beige corner house with a clay tile roof, Chloe exclaims, “This is it!”
Behind a stucco fence are several wicker plant stands, a dozen terracotta pots and a tree stump surrounded by overgrown green weeds. It is clear that Fernandes is concerned about his future mother-in-law’s first impression of the place.
“I’m very, very nervous about it,” says Fernandes. “I don’t know how or what her reaction will be, but I hope it is good.”
Michelle pauses to take in the outdoor scene before Fernandes leads her past a large column, mismatched patio chairs and a motorcycle parked in the walkway to reach the front door.
“Okay guys, Michelle, welcome to my house,” says Fernandes, defending the outside area. “It’s quite a garden. Not as big as your garden, but hey, this will be my house. Welcome in.”
Michele thanks Fernandes as the trio enters a tiled hall. They walk past a glass table with a vase of white roses on it and a TV on the wall, as well as some art, but Michelle focuses on the floor, where she trips over a single tiled step that takes them to the kitchen.
“This is my kitchen area,” says Fernandes, but Michelle’s attention is still focused on the step.
“Be careful,” she warns, to which Chloe replies, “Why do you keep falling?”
Michelle quickly recovers, explaining that she’s “just not used to all these different levels,” and Fernandes seems to understand.
“There are several obstacles,” he tells Michelle. “I’m sorry.”
Chloe agrees with her fiancé and the kitchen tour continues.

A vacuum cleaner sits against the back wall on top of several plastic storage bins. Facing that wall are a series of moody blue cabinets—at least one of which is missing a door—and an array of mismatched appliances: a white chest freezer and two refrigerators, one black and the other stainless steel. Additional plastic bins are also visible beneath a stainless steel work table.
Apart from its functional and outdated features, there are some signs that it is not the most hygienic place to prepare food. An insect glue trap has been set up with insects attached to it on top of what appears to be granite countertops, and several visible stains on the underside of the walls and doors, and on the white square tile floors.
The more Michelle sees, the more worried she becomes.
“Can I please see the famous stove?” she asks.
Fernandes points to the electric stove, which is underneath a microwave, and teases Chloe that “she’s scared of this.”
Chloe pushes back, telling her mother and future husband that she “recently learned how to turn it on.”
However, Fernandes insists it is easy to use, explaining: “It’s just a clicker. You press it and you turn it on.”
Michelle starts working on the stove herself and discovers that the knob goes in a different direction than the one she has at home.
“Oh, it’s backwards,” she says. “Ours goes to the right.”
While Michelle tried to put on a somewhat brave face to Fernandes, she was quick to voice her concerns behind the scenes as she shared her thoughts on the property in a confessional.
“My first impression of Johny’s house is that it needs a lot of work,” she says.

Back in the kitchen, Michelle has more questions.
“Is that the oven?” she asks.
Even though Chloe lives in the house, she is also unsure about the appliance in the cupboard and asks Fernandes, “Is that the oven?”
Fernandes confirms that the small appliance is indeed the oven, but when he tries to open the door, a piece of cabinet lining falls to the floor.
“You just broke your oven,” Chloe exclaims, while Fernandes counters, “I never touch that cupboard, so.”
When Michelle asks if the oven works, Fernades isn’t sure and admits, “Uh, I guess it does?”
Michelle elaborates on her first impression in another confessional, telling producer Fernandes that Fernandes’ house doesn’t seem suitable for an engaged couple.
“It definitely makes me feel single,” she says.
However, Chloe tries to paint a perfectly domestic picture of the place when she shares with her mother that she “boiled eggs” on the stove the day before.
When Michelle questions her daughter about her cooking methods, Chloe explains that she cooked the eggs “in the pot.”
Chloe is baffled by the whole series of questions, and she lets out an “Oh my God” as the home tour continues.
Before she even looks at the rest of the house, it seems Michelle has seen enough – and she doesn’t see a future for her daughter in her potential son-in-law’s home.
“Would this be the place I want my daughter to live?” she asks rhetorically. “Absolutely not.”
“90 Day Fiance: The Other Way” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on TLC.
