Everything about Nicola Peltz’s billionaire parents Nelson and Claudia
The last airbender The star’s father, Nelson Peltz, is a billionaire investor. He left the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania to work for his family’s food distribution company Business insider.
During a lecture at the University of Miami in September 2023, he talked about his decision to leave the university.
“I just didn’t go to class that often and when I did go to class, I couldn’t figure out when I was going to take accounting, finance and economics,” he told the crowd. “I was way too immature to be in a place like that.”
Nelson co-founded investment firm Trian Fund Management in 2005. He previously served on the boards of directors of HJ Heinz Company, Wendy’s and Mondelēz International, Inc.
He has also been a director of Madison Square Garden Sports Corp since 2015 and of Unilever PLC since 2022.
As a former fashion model, Claudia Heffner Peltz has always been hands-on when it comes to choosing Nicola’s outfits.
“I give my mother three options and ask her what I should wear, or she sometimes sends me what she sees and likes,” says the Bates Motel actress said in an interview in February 2024. “I feel lucky to be in a relationship with Victoria [Beckham] and Valentino and some other brands, so I can just ask them to send me clothes. But it’s very different from having a stylist.”
Claudia left the industry after her marriage to Nelson.

In an interview with CosmopolitanNicola shared her thoughts on her parents’ decades-long marriage.
“My parents have been together for over 40 years, and they always make fun of each other,” she revealed. “My dad is just so cute. When my mom leaves the room, he always says, ‘She’s so beautiful.'”
Nicola added: ‘They still act like children in love. Literally, they’re always kissing, to the point where my brother says, “I’m closing my eyes.” Stop kissing.’ They are so in love and it is so beautiful to grow up with them. I would never settle for anything other than that.”
During their forty years of marriage, Nelson and Claudia have grown their brood and welcomed eight children: Matthew, Will, Brad, Brittany, Diesel, Nicola, Zachary and Gregory.
“Family is everything to me, and I mean that with all my heart,” Nicola told an outlet. “I go to Florida every chance I get, and we stay with my parents. It honestly makes me so happy to wake up and have my siblings around. It’s really hard to get all of us in the same place because there are so many of us. When we’re all together, it’s so much fun.”
Despite their wide connections, the Peltz family lives a largely private life at home.
“My family is not in the spotlight. I don’t see them that way at all,” Nicola said Grazia in an interview in December 2022. “I come from a hockey family. All my brothers play hockey, and my parents, I think, are anti-Hollywood. They didn’t grow up in LA or anything.”
According to Nicola, she had to convince her parents to let her start an acting career at a young age.
“I grew up playing ice hockey, and my dad really wanted me to focus on playing ice hockey; he thought it was so cool. I was center-right and right-wing,” she revealed in a September 2019 interview with Desire. “When I was eleven years old, I asked my mother if I could try acting. It started because I loved my drama class. My parents were very against it. [at first]. They didn’t understand.”
Nelson and Claudia eventually embraced the idea of Nicola pursuing an acting career when she scored a role in Blackbird.
