‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Reunion Hits High Views; Sets November 28. Repeat

“Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion” averaged 6.32 million viewers on Nov. 24, making it the most-watched primetime entertainment special so far this TV season. Taking advantage of the high interest in the reunion, CBS will air an encore of the special on November 28.

According to Nielsen ratings, “Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion” was the most-watched special on CBS since the 77th Emmy Awards in September (7.59 million). The special’s live+same day ratings were higher than any other primetime non-sports program this season, with the exception of “60 Minutes,” “Tracker,” “Dancing With the Stars” and “Matlock.”

Among other tribute specials on CBS in recent years, it was also up 56% compared to “Newhart: Legacy of Laugher” (4.05 million on July 22, 2024) and 108% higher compared to “Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic” (3.04 million on December 21, 2023).

The 90-minute special hosted by Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal offered a look back at the production of “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Madylin Sweeten, Monica Horan and more were featured during the special, where they shared exclusive behind-the-scenes stories and fun facts in honor of the series’ 30th anniversary.

“Everybody Loves Raymond” premiered on CBS in 1996 and ran for nine seasons until 2005.

FIRST LOOK

The HBO Original documentary “Music Box: Wizkid: Long Live Lagos” debuts on HBO on December 11 and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, Jada Pollock, Julie Adenuga, Seni Saraki, Sunday Are, Starboy, Karen Binns and Tops star in the documentary.

+Life’s special “HIV Unwrapped World AIDS Day,” hosted by journalist Karl Schmid, premieres on Hulu on November 30.

The special highlights the program’s initiative to combine science, fashion and storytelling to raise awareness of HIV during New York Fashion Week 2025. Through runway moments, behind-the-scenes access and intimate personal stories, it highlights “how creativity can dismantle stigma, bridge generations and reimagine advocacy for the modern age.”

Models and special guests included Javier Muñoz (activist and actor, “Hamilton”), Demetre Daskalakis (former director of CDC’s Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases), Mary Gibson (singer), Art Bezrukavenko (content creator), Mila Jam (singer), John Friia (host, “Taxi TV”), Jay Valle (NBC Out), Lionel Moise (ABC News), Mark Mackillop (“Broadway Bares”) and more.

“Un Abogado en Nueva York” (A Lawyer in New York), the legal microdrama created by immigration lawyer Aníbal Romero, returns for its second season on November 26.

The six-episode legal microdrama debuts for free on YouTube, with new episodes premiering monthly.

According to the official synopsis, the series “continues Romero’s vision of transforming real-life legal dramas into gripping, character-driven stories that combine authenticity with cinematic craftsmanship. Season 2 deepens its cross-cultural reach by uniting international creators and top Hollywood talent.”

PROGRAMMING

“Def Comedy Jam” has officially found a new home on Revolt, with the show’s library of episodes airing weekdays at 11pm ET on the network.

With its arrival on Revolt, “Def Comedy Jam” will bring with it its archive of historic performances by Bernie Mac, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart and other comedians who started their careers on the show.

“‘Def Comedy Jam’ opened the door for many of us and forever changed the landscape of the genre. It gave Black comedians the space to tell our stories and jokes exactly the way we wanted to,” Cedric The Entertainer said in a statement. “Seeing the show come back to life on Revolt proves that the foundation we laid continues to inspire audiences today.”
