Erika Kirk kicks off Erika Kirk Week by honoring Charlie Kirk on Hannity

Erika Kirk (née Frantzve) revealed that her three-year-old daughter told her she “can’t wait” to go to heaven after the death of her father Charlie Kirk.
The conservative activist, 37, began a full week of appearances on Fox News with an interview about Hannity on Monday, December 8 to promote her late husband Charlie Kirk‘s posthumous book, Stop, In the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Change Your Life.
Speaking to host Sean Hannity, 63, Erika was asked if the belief that heaven awaits Christians when they die has brought her any comfort.
“That’s right,” Erika replied. “My daughter and I talked about this at night. She always asked, ‘What do you think Dad did in heaven today?’ And I’ll let her pass that on to me.”
Erika shared how she explained Charlie’s death to her young daughter.
“We’ve come to understand, and I’ve tried to explain this to her, that Dad is still with us, he’s just in a different location and he’s building us a house in heaven,” she said. “And I’ve said this before, but she said, ‘I can’t wait to go.’ I said, “Me too, honey.”
Her husband, Charlie, was shot and killed on September 10 while addressing students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Tyler James Robinson was apprehended by police the next day and has since been charged with aggravated murder and other crimes. (Robinson, 22, has yet to enter a plea. Prosecutors have said they will pursue the death penalty if the case goes to trial.)
Erika delivered a eulogy for Charlie on September 21 at his public memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, saying she had forgiven her husband’s killer.
“I forgive him because Christ did this,” Erika told mourners. “The answer to hate is no hate.”
In November, she revealed during a conversation with Megyn Kelly that she and Charlie had hoped to grow their family before his murder. (Charlie and Erika married in May 2021. They share a son and a daughter, whose names they chose to keep private.)

Erika explained that another baby would [have been] the ultimate blessing from this catastrophe.”
“When I see young couples now, I tell them, ‘Please don’t put it off,’” she added. “Especially if you’re a young woman, don’t put it off. You can always have a career, you can always go back to work. You can never just have children again.”
Erika took over from Charlie as chairman and CEO of his conservative political organization Turning Point USA just days after the activist’s murder.
“[Charlie] worked tirelessly to ensure that Turning Point USA was built to survive even the biggest test,” the organization said in a statement on September 18. “And now we are very proud to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turning Point USA.”
During an interview at the New York Times‘ DealBook Summit 2025 on December 3, Erika raised her eyebrows during the discussion Zohran Mamdani‘s recent election as mayor of New York City. When Andrew Ross Sorkin suggested that Mamdani was successful in winning over younger female voters just as Charlie had done with conservative men, Erika claimed that some women see government as “a form of replacement for certain things, even relationally.”
“What I don’t want is for women, young women in the city, to look at the government as a solution to delay having a family or marriage because you rely on the government to support you instead of being united with your husband, where you can support yourself and support your husband and combine your boys all together,” she argued.
“I just find it so ironic and so interesting that a large percentage of the people who voted for him are women,” Erika concluded.
Erika will continue to promote her late husband’s book Fox & Friends and Fox News Radio The Brian Kilmeade Show on Tuesday, December 9. She will be a guest host The Five at 5pm ET on Tuesday, followed by an interview on Outnumbered on Wednesday, December 10 at noon ET.
