Eric Dane praised by Countdown Co stars when dealing with ALS diagnosis

Eric Dane is praised by his co-stars “counting down” for how he deals with his as diagnosis and uses his platform to help others. Dane went publicly with his illness in April.

‘I am proud of hell on how he deals with so much grace [and] Dignity, “Jensen Ackles told me during the premiere of the Amazon MGM Show.” I did not hesitate that he would treat it this way. I couldn’t be more proud of him. He knows that I love him and support him with everything he needs. ‘

The premiere marked Dane’s first red carpet appearance since he announced his diagnosis. “I feel good,” Dane told me after posing for photos on the red carpet with his filmmaker -friend Janell Shirtcliff. “It’s nice to be here with everyone and see the hours and hours of work that we put to life on the screen.”

Toon Maker and executive producer Derek Haas said: “I was not surprised how honest and open he is and how he places others for himself, what exactly the Eric I know is. He wants other people to know that they are not alone if they get this diagnosis.”

“Countdown” follows a LAPD detective (ACles) that joins a secret government task group under the leadership of DANE’s character to try to stop a terrorist attack on Los Angeles.

Jessica Camacho, who plays Agent Amber Oliveras, said the cast and crew have become a ‘family’.

But she also admitted that she was ‘terrified’ when she first walked to work with DANE. “He has this power around him,” said Camacho. “He has this quiet confidence and it is nice on the camera. I was well petrified, but then five minutes in, I saw his warmth, I saw his playfulness, his charisma and it just became so comfortable and so at ease and we are just such a work family.”

Dane spoke extensively about life with as with Diane Sawyer during an interview of 16 June on ‘Good Morning America’. “My left side is functioning, my right side has completely stopped working,” said the actor and noticed that his left arm has also become weaker. “I feel that I might be a few more months and I will not have my left hand. It is sobering.”

The former “Grey’s Anatomy” star was in Washington on Monday at the American health secretary Robert F. Kennedy’s press conference that announced that various health insurance companies will simplify and reduce the earlier authorizations in the coming 18 months.

“When that diagnosis strikes and you find out that you are sick, your life is filled with great uncertainty and that the worst we can do is add even more uncertainty for patients and their loved ones with unnecessary prior permission,” said Dane. “Everything we can do to give patients more certainty with fewer delays is a valuable goal.”
