Emily in Paris director Diego Borella dies from Set -Filmen in Italy

Diego Borella, an assistant director on Netflix’s ‘Emily in Paris’, died suddenly during filming season 5 in Venice on Thursday. He was 47.
“We are deeply sad to confirm the sudden death of a member of the” Emily in Paris production family, “said a spokesperson for the Paramount Television Studios in a statement Variety. “Our hearts go to the family and loved ones of the individual during this incredibly difficult time.”
According to local Italian news shops, Borella collapsed around 7 p.m. on Thursday while the show was filming in Venice. The crew prepared for a scene in the hotel Danieli. Medici on set tried to breathe new life into Borella, but he was declared dead on the spot because of a ‘sudden heart attack’, according to a local outlet. Filming for “Emily in Paris” season 5 was reportedly suspended after the incident and was resumed on Saturday.
The first look images and premiere date for “Emily in Paris” season 5 were released last week by Netflix, because production was underway in different parts of Europe. Filming started in May in Rome and then returned to Paris in June and had been to Venice from August.
Season 5 stars Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Francschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Araud Binard, Larnie Driver, and Michnoque. Collins is a producer next to the leading role. Creator and writer Darren Star Executive produces alongside Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss and Joe Murphy. The show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions and Jax Media.
