Emily at Ashley Park in Paris narrowly avoids a wardrobe malfunction

Emily in Paris star Ashley Park narrowly avoided a major wardrobe malfunction The Drew Barrymore Show.
Park, 34, appeared on the Thursday, December 11 edition of Drew Barrymore‘S daytime talk show to promote the upcoming season of her hit Netflix series. Barrymore, 50, praised Park’s brown Michael Kors suit, declaring: “This outfit is to die for!”
The host called the look “stunning” and said she “would love to wear something like that.”
Park gave credit to her stylist, Brad Goreskiand asked, “Should we act?”
Barrymore, dressed in a suit and tie, jokingly took Park on the idea and took off her jacket. In turn, Park went to remove hers and then exclaimed, “Oh my God, it popped open!”
Fortunately, the studio audience and viewers at home did not catch a glimpse of the glitch when it occurred. Park laughed as Barrymore joked, “My kind of show, by the way,” and fixed her guest’s jacket.
Park reprises her role as Mindy in Emily in Paris‘ fifth episode, which will be released on December 18. Earlier this month, the actress made… exclusively speaking We weekly about Mindy’s character arc and a vibrant new dynamic with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount).
“I would say the show continues to surprise me,” Park said Us. “I didn’t see Mindy’s storylines coming in Season 5. … I feel like I got to be in eight different genres of shows in one. What more can you ask for? So I never know what to expect.”
She continued: “I just didn’t expect it anymore. But also when we go to Venice for two weeks to film, it feels like such a pinch moment. They really keep us on our toes.”
At the time, Netflix had released a trailer and new photos featuring Emily (Lily Collins) begins a new chapter in Rome with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) while Gabriel (Luke Bravo) remained in Paris. As for Mindy, a steamy shot of her with Lucien captivated fans who are wondering what’s in store for the formerly platonic duo.
“What’s nice is that this feels like it came out of left field, but Lucien is also one of my best friends on the show,” Park revealed. “So we were always laughing because we love hanging out, but we don’t have any scenes together. That really made it fun this year.”
Last month, Us also spoke with Park at the Netflix House Philadelphia VIP Housewarming Party, where she marveled at how far the show – and its cast – has come since its premiere in October 2020.
“Me and Lily were talking about that the other day,” she said at the time. “We’ve known each other for half a decade and it’s interesting to step into the shoes of a character where it’s a few days later but you’ve grown as a person six months to a year [between seasons].”
Park said Emily in Paris “has completely changed my life in terms of the journeys and the conversations I get to be a part of. I get to have conversations with people all over the world because Netflix is global. I’m very grateful.”
