Donald Trump mocks Timothée Chalamet and Harry Styles on ‘SNL’

Donald Trump stormed the cold open of “Saturday Night Live” this week as a family tried to keep rising gas prices in check on a road trip.

The segment on the March 14 episode started with Mikey Day, Ashley Padilla, Marcello Hernández and Sarah Sherman as a family on a road trip, watching the rising gas prices. But Trump (James Austin Johnson) broke the mold by monologuing the week’s events.

‘You may remember me from campaign promises such as ‘lower gas prices’ and ‘no more wars’. Psych! We like to make promises, because a promise is just a lie that hasn’t happened yet,” said Johnson-as-Trump. “But now gasoline costs about a million billion dollars a gallon. As for the stock market, let me put it this way so the Harry Styles fans in the crowd tonight will understand… The stock market is going in one direction: down!”

Trump also evoked Timothée Chalamet’s viral comments about opera and ballet, saying, “We will win this war, because Iran is old and no one loves them. Iran is like ballet and opera, and we are Timmy Chalamet.”

Later in the segment, Colin Jost returned as Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who said, “I’ll tell you the same thing I say when people ask about our plans for Iran: I don’t know,” and “You gays in the media are completely unpatriotic. They use what I do and say to make me look crazy.”

Styles is the host and musical guest for this episode.
