Donald Trump, 78, rules out becoming president in 2028 if he loses

Several critics of the former president worry that Trump will rule as a dictator if he steps foot in the Oval Office again.

During a town hall hosted by Sean Hannity in December, the Fox News host asked the former president, “Under no circumstances tonight are you promising America that you would never abuse power in retaliation against anyone?”

Trump responded that he would not be a “dictator” until the first day of his stay in the White House if he won the 2024 election.

When Hannity pressed Trump, the Republican candidate said, “I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill… That is not retaliation.”
